You no longer need a paid plan to add a photo. Every free account can put a photo on up to 3 recipes, and the photo step shows how many you have left. Removing a photo, or the recipe it's on, frees that spot for another.
When you add a photo, you drag and zoom a box to choose what shows on recipe cards, and nothing outside it is cut off. The recipe page shows your photo in its own shape, so tall phone photos stay tall. You can change the framing anytime without uploading the photo again.
When you edit a step, check the ingredients it uses in the list under the text. Your choice is what the recipe page and Cook Mode show for that step. Imported recipes come with each step's ingredients already filled in, and steps you leave alone are still matched automatically.
Drag steps into order on desktop.
In the recipe editor, grab the handle at the left of a step and drag it where you want it. The up and down arrows are gone. With a keyboard, focus the handle and press the arrow keys.
Try AI import for free.
Every plan now includes 3 free AI imports. Snap a recipe card or paste a recipe's text, and MyFood fills in the name, ingredients and steps for you. The import tiles show how many you have left.
The new Usage section on your profile shows how many AI recipe imports you've used today, how many are left, and when the count resets. If you hit the limit while importing, the message links straight to it.
From your profile, you can export everything in your account: recipes, photos, tags, share links and activity. Keep the page open while it's prepared, then download the zip any time in the next 24 hours.
When a recipe runs across more than one page or card, add up to five photos in one import. Put them in page order and MyFood reads them together as a single recipe for you to review before saving.
Search now matches the start of any word in a recipe's name as you type, so "chick" or "tikk" finds Chicken Tikka Masala. It works in the top bar and on your recipes page, and ingredient searches still work too.
The search in the top bar finds your own recipes and the ones shared with you from anywhere in the app. With nothing typed, it shows what you viewed recently. Press / or ⌘K to open it.
Change a recipe's photo anytime.
Every saved recipe can now get a new photo, or you can re-crop and rotate the one it already has.
Copy a recipe's text from a blog, an email or a note, paste it in, and MyFood fills in the name, ingredients and steps for you to review before saving.
